Scarlett Grove Stables, LLC is located in Berryville, Virginia. This new facility is nestled on almost 17 acres. The full service boarding and training barn is located 40 minutes from Morven Park Equestrian Center and Middleburg. We are also minutes away from Gordansdale Cross-Country Schooling Course located at 741 Lewisville Road in Berryville. Appointments need to be made with Mr. Sandy Johnston at (540) 955-4687.
Our focus is specializing in individualized care and training for your equine friend. We strive in keeping every horse happy and healthy. We strongly believe horses are healthiest when they are provided maximum turnout time.

We offer stall boarding options with instruction and or training packages, leasing for non-owners, trailer in lessons, and the starting of young horses. Come share with us the joys of true horsemanship.

Samantha Stewart is one of the riding instructors with Scarlett Grove Stables. She grew up in New York, breeding and showing Welsh and Connemara ponies her entire life. She’s been riding since she can remember.
She has an extensive background in Pony Club and 4H and has been teaching for 15 years. She teaches the students the “Why” and “How” that backs up the riding. She produces calm, capable thinking riders who practice correct and safe horsemanship.
Her experience also extends to having 15 years in at the “A” circuit. She’s been specializing in Hunter for 10 years. But can also teach Jumper and Western.
In growing up on a Welsh and Connemara breeding farm, she has had experience from handling babies to starting these high quality Sport Ponies under saddle. With that experience, she has also worked on a Thoroughbred breeding farm. From starting the babies to retraining the ones off the track.
